We look forward to making a positive impact on even more lives in the future.

Gillian Buckingham and Karen Scrivener-Fearn have acted as treating SaLTs in a number of complex clinical negligence and personal injury claims involving our clients who have suffered brain injury. Our clients have variously needed input for dysphagia (swallowing difficulties), AAC (alternative augmentative communication), and dysphasia due to cognitive-communication disorder. Gill and Karen have obtained outstanding results for these clients, with the use of very specialist and innovative therapies, the results for these clients have far exceeded expectations, and for some clients, the therapies have been life-changing. They work extremely well with families and case managers in an MDT environment. I highly recommend their expert services.

Sarah Tipton-Walker Director and Solicitor, Switalskis Solicitors Ltd

I left rehab with a PEG as I had difficulty eating and drinking. I had 3 videofluoroscopies and it was considered likely that I would swallow water or food into my lungs. I was very scared of getting pneumonia. I wanted to eat and drink ‘normally’ and I was advised that I should get neuromuscular electrical stimulation on my throat. This was not available on the NHS in Leeds. Karen administered the treatment in 20 sessions. She was very competent and very experienced in treating conditions such as mine. She was confident and inspired confidence in me. That really mattered when one is dealing with something as precious as eating and drinking. By the end of the treatment, I was trying new foods and have had the PEG removed.
